Principal's Message
Dear Families,
We hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable long weekend.
"Peace be with you"
are the first four words Jesus states at his resurrection, they are also the first words Father greets us with at Mass. In a time of conflict and during a time where we remember those who have served our country in conflict, peace and the dignity of the human person is now, more than ever, essential. Pope Francis views teaching and education (families and schools) as "the primary means of promoting the integral human development; they are essential for the defence and promotion of peace.' Recentently Pope Francis gathered 6,000 children from the Italian Network of School of Peace at the Vatican. He encouraged them to be "artisans of peace, peace-mongers." For more than 200 years, Catholic schools in Australia have strived to teach a way of being where we are united, human rights are upheld and the good news of the gospel shared. How can we take up the Pope's challenge to be "artisans of peace"? How will we create peace in our world?
Please join us at the Nar Nar Goon Memorial as we commemorate Remembrance day.
Have a great week, take care, Bec
