Principal's Message

As the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season approaches, there a few things that I would like to draw your attention to:
- Tuesday November 28 at 2.15pm we celebrate the contributions Phil Rebbechi has made to Catholic Education over the past 42 years. Fr Peter Slater will be our celebrant
- Wednesday Assemblies will have an ADVENT focus for the remainder of the year
- "UP" day December 4 - students will spend time with their 2024 teachers
- End of Year Mass will be celebrated on December 14 at 2pm, followed by the Year Six Guard of honour
- Final day for students is December 15. Please note that there will be no formal classes on this day.
School fees:
We fully appreciate that cost of living and interest rates are a struggle for families at the moment, however there are several outstanding school fees which need to be addressed before the end of the school year. Often, like other expenses, these can be overlooked. Please refer to your most recent fee statement for a balance of your account. Please be assured that there are many ways that we can support families who are finding school fees difficult to manage; please contact me for a completely confidential conversation.
Thank you to the parents who attended last week's whole school excursion to Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. It was a great day with students working together to make links to and consolidate their biological science unit.
A M A Z I N G!!! The final count for the Family Fun Night has been completed. The amazing news is that our school community raised just over $6500!!! A brilliant effort for a school our size. Thank you again to all involved!
Kind Regards, Bec Kollaris

Prayer for Peace in the Middle East
Lord Jesus Christ,
The Holy Land is once again under threat, some scary and not nice things are happening.
Lord, look with mercy upon the land that was your earthly home.
Please take care of those that leave this world. Comfort those who mourn, are wounded or forced to leave their home. Be close to all who are full of fear, despair and uncertainty.
You are our peace and light of the nations, put an end to the ongoing suffering of those in the Holy Land and in the whole Middle East.
Let your peace and justice flourish at the holy sites. You are our refuge. Let the people be safe in your Love.
Have mercy on us and on our time.
Amen.
Year Six students, St James

School Fees
Final Fee Statements for 2023 have been issued to all families for Term 4. Thankyou to those who have made payment towards their school fees.
As we are approaching the end of the school year, please ensure finalising your fee account is a matter of priority. Any unpaid fees will be carried over and added to your 2024 fee account.
Payment of fees can be made directly into the school account, via EFTPOS in the office, or via Direct Debit. Direct Debit arrangements can be set up at any time and include options for fortnightly, monthly or per term payments. Please contact the office to obtain a Direct Debit form.
If you are experiencing financial hardship please contact rkollaris@stjamesnng.catholic.edu.au to have a confidential discussion.
If you hold a Pension or Health Care card, please contact the office to obtain the relevant paperwork to be completed and returned. Eligibility will then be assessed and an application for assistance to reduce your school fees will be applied for.
